Anna Albano 2004-02-09 I think he is awesome. I like his grumpy expression, as if he is saying :"whaddaya looking at?" The background is breathtaking, I love landscapes, and you did a great job on setting up the atmosphere for him. Bravo!   (Scott Davis) Thank You Thank you Anna. I've submitted some other works to Epilogue but this is the first piece that got accepted and I'm kind of glad it was this one that made it instead of the others as I have a particular fondness for it. I wanted his face to have an expression as if he'd just spotted me peeking at him from behind a tree perhaps and I think I was able to pull that off decently. Thank you for your gracious compliments regarding the background also. I too enjoy doing landscape scenes and I had a lot of fun with this one. I took time to have a look at your gallery and I enjoyed it very much. I particularly liked the pieces "Demoness of Acadia, Cinderella's Patience, and Runaway". I liked how you mentioned that Runaway was based on King's "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" as it is one of my favorite books also. Oh well, on to my next painting. I've gotten a lot of positive comments from friends along the same line of what you've said. This is how I always pictured him and apparently quite a few others share that view. I am working on some new pieces that I'll be submitting soon. I did version of King Kong in which I was able to really refine my technique on the fur but unfortunately it was rejected for copyright reasons, so perhaps I'll redo this piece or do yet another sasquatch altogether. I've also got a T-Rex piece that I'll be submitting soon as well so hopefully you'll be able to see those before too long. I also like how he blends in...which is how I think of the invisible Sasquatch. I think you did him just like we all picture him. Wonder..." one, I worked out some much better brush combinations and techniques for rendering the fur. I wish I would've figured it out before I did the Sasquatch as I think it would've made him look a little more real. As for the background: I enjoy doing the landscapes, I find it very relaxing to work on them. Over-all I was pleased with how these pieces turned out (if I could just get them all to turn out this way it would save me so much stress. lol) Thanks again for your comments, I look forward to seeing your next creation.
